St James Church (Kostel Sv Jakuba) - Sunday mass St James Church is near the Old Town Square, has a great acoustics which makes it one of the finest places for a Sanibel Island Classical Music concerts. The Choral works and music during Sunday mass is a must. If you are visiting during colder days, make sure you dress warm. It gets rather cold inside. Also notice the desiccated human hand hanging to the right above the entrance. It is genuine.

As far as the Rat Pack Standards were concerned, although it seemed as if the songs were Frank Sinatra heavy, it must be remembered that these guys all sang together and did thousands and thousands of shows -- which only means that all three probably sung all of those songs at one point or another. The only other disappointment about the night is that there was too much of getting into the performance and not enough of singing and letting the song do the talking. That was a key element in that kind of music. The personality of the singer comes through the song. It's subtle and it's classy. Kris Allen came the closest to pulling off that laid back style associated with the Rat Pack sound.

The gumbo competition was between some of the greatest chefs in this area. Chef Ed beat out stiff competition from places like Harry's Oyster Bar, Sofia's and Crossroads at the House of Blues. Not an easy task, but Chef Ed accepted the challenge and won!

Among some of the attractions and Bala and the surrounding area are a number of historic sites and the Great Western Railway. There is also a yearly [[https://sanibelmusicfestival.org Sanibel Music Festival]] held in the town itself which focuses especially on local folk music. Other popular pastimes and the area and things such as white water kayaking amongst other water sports which take part in the lake.

And his passion is to do for the violin what Leo Fender and his followers did for the guitar. And like Leo Fender, Mark has created his own instrument.
